The third accused identified as Hitesh Mahadev Pawar alias Devraj (17), brother of Gitesh, is on the run. According to officials, Gitesh took the minor to a nearby building’s pump house and raped her in October last year. He then threatened the girl of dire consequences if she told anyone of the incident.
When Gitesh’s brother Hitesh heard of the incident, he also took the girl to the same spot and raped her. The cops added that in March 2013, Bagimama, the sweeper of the chawl where the girl resides with her parents, also raped her.
Police officials told MiD DAY that the complaint was filed after the victim complained of stomachaches, and her aunt took her to a clinic where the doctor said that the girl had been raped. The parents of the victim approached the cops on May 30 and filed a first information report (FIR).
Following their complaint, Gitesh and Bagimama were arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). “We will arrest the third accused (Hitesh Mahadev Pawar) soon,” said an officer from Badlapur police station.u00a0
