After Virat-Anushka, the next celebrity couple to tie the knot in Europe are Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal
Europe has suddenly become the most sought after destination for Bollywood weddings. After Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra secretly tied the knot in Europe and Virat Kohli-Anushka Kohli got married in Italy, the next celebrity couple to head to Europe for a destination wedding are Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal.

Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal were acquaintances for 14 years, but started dating three years back. The couple met on the sets of Bigg Boss where they were both participants. The couple made news due to their PDA, while being in the Bigg Boss house. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror Ashmit and Maheck will star in the film , Nirdosh also starring Arbaaz Khan.
Ashmit plays a husband and father, Gautam Grover, who has an affair with Maheck's character, who comes into his home as a paying guest. The whodunit is directed by Pradeep Rangwani and has Arbaaz as a cop. "Nirdosh will always have a special place in my heart because it is the first film I shot for with Maheck,” smiles Ashmit. He says that it was easiest filming the steamy sequences with his fiancée because the two share a great comfort level. "We've been acquaintances for 14 years, and when Maheck moved back from Norway around three years ago, she joined the same gym that I went to. In this fast-paced world, it's great to have someone to unwind with. I am blessed I found a co-star and partner in her." Ashmit, who also appeared on the reality TV series Power Couple with Maheck, adds that since she’s in the same profession as him, she understands his work and life.
The wedding date isn't locked yet, but the couple is hoping for an August-end or September wedding. "Maheck wants a traditional gurudwara ceremony with pheras, which we will arrange for in Europe, followed by a winter reception in Mumbai," Ashmit reveals.
