26 March,2026 10:18 AM IST | Mumbai | ANIActor-director Boman Irani recently shared his hilarious reaction to Donald Trump's comment amid the ongoing war in West Asia. The actor shared a video of himself talking to the camera, in which he expressed his willingness to talk to the US President Donald Trump with regard to solving the conflict, citing his Iranian roots. Boman Irani takes a jibe at Donald Trump's comment Boman Irani took to social media to share the video, saying, “So, as you may know, it’s going viral that Mr Donald Trump wants to speak to the Iranis, and three people have been beckoned to speak, Smriti Irani, Aruna Irani, and me". View this post on Instagram A post shared by Boman Irani (@boman_irani) He further added, “So, I am ready. I am ready. We can do anything for peace. My only problem is that I won’t go to Washington. Let their delegation come here to the Dadar Parsi Colony. We will treat them with whatever they like, we’ll feed them dhansak and custard. We will bring a gas cylinder. I think it will make life very, very smooth for all of us". Boman's reaction came after Iran firmly denied reports of ongoing negotiations with the United States. Spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Ebrahim Zolfaqari, reportedly took a jab at Trump, saying, "Has the level of your inner struggle reached the stage of you negotiating with yourself?" He further mocked the situation, adding, "Don’t call your failure an agreement." His remarks follow Donald Trump's continued insistence that talks are underway. Speaking to reporters, Trump said the US is engaging with the "right people" in Iran and that Tehran wants a deal "so badly," despite repeated denials. Mandana Karimi slams Boman Irani While many laughed at his reaction, including celebrities, the video did not go well with Iran-based actress Mandana Karimi. Taking to the comments section, she wrote, "Boman Irani sir… suddenly you have a lot to say about Iran.Interesting timing. For years, Iranians have been getting arrested, executed, and silenced. Thousands killed. Families torn apart. And people like me we’ve lived it. We’ve spoken about it. But now… there’s a video. Now there’s concern. Now there’s humour about gas, about Trump, about 'come to my house.' Sir, with all respect you and the Parsi community come from Iran. You carry that history. That fire. So where was this voice when Iranians were dying? And now suddenly because it affects gas, politics, global talks there’s commentary? I mean… slow clap, really. From silence to satire — that was fast. Anyway… just an observation."(sic)

26 March,2026 10:13 AM IST | New Delhi | ANIBollywood superstar Akshay Kumar opened up about language preferences in the film industry, further stating that he has always chosen to speak in Hindi even during a time when English was often seen as more fashionable. "In the ’90s, even if there was an award night, I always said that I would speak in Hindi. Generally too, I always speak in Hindi. Even at many of my conclaves, where there are English speakers, I fold my hands and tell them, you speak in English but I will speak in Hindi. That is my comfort,” Akshay Kumar said in an exclusive conversation with IANS. During the conversation, it was noted that while English was widely preferred in the 1990s, actors like Akshay Kumar and Govinda were among the few who confidently communicated in Hindi, choosing comfort over snob appeal. Sharing his perspective, Akshay also stated that, for him, language has always been about comfort and authenticity rather than perception. Actor Rajpal Yadav, who was also present at the interview, added that language has never been a barrier on film sets despite the diversity of people working together. “Tell me one thing, there are around 250 people on a set. Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam, Assamese, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, everyone is there. It’s a mixture. But in that mixture, there is never a problem with language. Till date, there has never been any issue with communication. Everyone understands cinema and communication,” Rajpal Yadav said. On the work front, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his upcoming film Bhoot Bangla, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and late veteran actor Asrani. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and marks his reunion with Akshay Kumar after many years. 26 March,2026 10:01 AM IST | Mumbai | IANSDirector Sanoj Mishra has responded to the allegations levelled by the viral 'Kumbh Mela girl' Monalisa Bhosle. She claimed grave allegations against the director, accusing him of misbehaving with minor girls under the guise of offering movie roles. She called him out for his alleged disgusting behaviour. Responding to the same, Sanoj Mishra appeared in a video on Instagram, and said, “Greetings to the people of the country, my respectful salutations. As you all have been seeing, over the past several days, after the Monalisa 'love jihad' matter came to light, I started a campaign across the country against it and in support of the victim’s family”. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sanoj Mishra (@sanojmishra) He further mentioned, “The people of the country appreciated it a lot and also supported it. But now the situation is starting to change a bit. The matter is that, along with jihadis, Christian missionaries from Kerala have also come together and are conspiring against me in a joint operation. Today, as you can see, that girl is being persuaded and influenced to speak against me on social media, where baseless things are being said”. He shared that this is how some people brainwash others and how far they can take someone, as he said, “This is the same girl whom I used to teach. My own children would get upset with me, asking why I taught Mona Lisa and not them. That was the level of attachment I had with her, and today, see how far things have been taken. Now I can also feel the pain of that father whose daughter, Monalisa, said that she feels her life is in danger from me. From that perspective, the allegations being made against me and the things happening are not very big matters. I am always capable of dealing with any situation and fighting through it. I will never bow my head in front of jihadis or traitors”. He contnued, "Today, I promise all of you that the way these people have conspired and spread things against me through a press conference, the whole country and the world are watching it. Why are they watching it? Because earlier, in every video you see, Monalisa has only spoken good things about me. In Kerala, where big ministers are openly promoting such marriages and issuing posters like 'The Real Kerala Story', this is all being done to defame Sanatan and to put a stain on it. Jai Hindurashtra". He also urged the authorities to take cognisance of the matter following threats to him and his family. "This could be my last video”, he added. Prior to the allegations raised by Monalisa, the director had spoken about the issue of ‘Love Jihad’, and hinted how Monalisa could be a victim to the same. Following his statement, Monalisa held a press conference in Kochi, Kerala. Accompanied by her husband, Farman at the presser, she claimed, how the director misbehaves with minor girls.
