Bengaluru: The woman, who filed an assault case against leg-spinner Amit Mishra, on Wednesday said she trusts the law will take its course soon.

"Court and police will decide. I trust police, I trust law, so let them decide," the victim told the media here.

Speaking on her previous decision of withdrawing the case, the woman said, "I thought of withdrawing the case but then I realized if he is not worried about it then why I should. Let him take his step, let me take my step."

"I didn't want to ruin his life, I don't want to ruin his career but the things went wrong without my intentions," she added.

Earlier on Tuesday, Mishra was released on bail soon after being arrested on charges of assaulting the woman in hotel.

The woman had lodged an FIR against Mishra in September in Bangalore. She claimed that she know him from the past three years and accused the cricketer of verbally abusing and assaulting her.
