Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun was at the late Sir Don Bradman's home in Bowral, New South Wales and played for Cricket Club of India at the holy land of Australian cricket on Thursday. In a game against a side from Hong Kong, Arjun, who recently played for the Mumbai under-19 side, claimed four wickets in four overs in a T20 match held as part of the SCG Cricket-run Global Challenge tournament.

Aussies impressed
The Australians were impressed by the young fast bowler's built. "After first visiting Australia as a cherub-faced toddler when India toured in 2003, Arjun is very much the strapping young man now and a far different build to his diminutive dad. He's already six-foot and appears to be still growing — and has opted to make his name as a left-arm quick as he looks to follow in the most famous of footsteps," said a report on news.com.au "I used to play taekwondo, cricket, football, swimming — and somehow cricket kicked in and everything else took a back seat," Arjun, 18, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

He added: "I just got stronger, grew taller and I loved bowling fast from my childhood. I thought I may as well be a quick bowler because there aren't many in India."
The website quoted Hong Kong batsman Mark Fuzes as saying, "I wasn't out there for long enough to feel too much facing him but it's good. It's nice to see a young lad with a lot of expectation on him come out here."

Arjun further said to ABC: "I don't take that pressure. When I bowl I just hit the deck hard on every ball and when I bat just play my shots and choose which bowlers to take on and which bowlers not to.

'Be a team man too'
"[Dad says] just play fearlessly, play for your team, be a team man and give everything you've got," he added. Arjun will now play at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, a venue where dad Sachin scored three Test hundreds including his highest score of 241 not out in 2003-04.
