London: England and Arsenal forward Theo Walcott yesterday announced the birth of his first child with wife Melanie Slade — baby boy Finley.

The 25-year-old footie ace wrote that he was over the moon to announce the birth of his son Finley born on Friday morning, asserting that it's amazing to be mummy and daddy, Daily Star reported.

Walcott, currently out of action due to a ligament injury, broke the news on his Facebook page saying: 'So over the moon to announce the birth of our baby boy Finley born this morning.... It's amazing to be mummy & daddy!"
"Love him so much x," he wrote.
Walcott and Slade met in 2004 at a shopping centre in Southampton and got married last summer in Tuscany, Italy, after a long-term relationship.
