Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal has signed a three-year contract with Barcelona after passing all required medical tests, the Spanish club said yesterday. After signing the contract along with Barcelona vice president Jordi Mestre, Vidal headed to Camp Nou for his official presentation. Earlier, Barcelona has announced that they had reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to Vidal in a deal reportedly worth 30 million euros.
Vidal, 31, was whisked away from Bayern's pre-season training base on Friday morning with the club's director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic to finalise the details. Vidal will reportedly earn around nine million euros per season with the Spanish giants.
