New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) yesterday registered a case against wrestler Narsingh Yadav to probe the allegations of doping lodged against him.
"We have registered a case against Narsingh Yadav and started a probe against him regarding allegations of dope consumed by him ahead of Rio Olympics," CBI spokesperson RK Gaur said.
Yadav had tested positive on June 25 for a banned substance ahead of the Rio Olympics. The Wrestling Federation of India had come out in Narsingh's support on the issue and on September 16 had referred the alleged dope case to the CBI for a detailed probe.
