Sydney: Australia's opening batsman David Warner was found guilty of breaching the Cricket Australia (CA) Code of Behaviour and was fined USD 5,750 for his twitter rant.
Warner, who pleaded guilty, received the maximum financial penalty for a first offence under rule six of CA’s Code of Behaviour, CA said in a statement. “I let my frustrations get the better of me and posted some inappropriate tweets.
While I disagreed with the story, I could have chosen my words better and I apologise for any offence that my language may have caused,” said Warner.
