A woman has accused her in-laws of harassing her for dowry, following which a case in this connection has been registered against four person of the family, police said

Faridabad: A woman has accused her in-laws of harassing her for dowry, following which a case in this connection has been registered against four person of the family, police said.


According to the complaint filed by the woman identified as Monica, she got married to Gajendra on January 23, 2011, police said, adding, since then her in-laws were torturing her and also threatened of killing her if their demands were not met. The demands included Rs 5 lakh and a car, the complaint said.


The accused have been identified as husband Gajendra, father-in-law Bheem, mother-in-law Urmilla and sister-in-law Poonam. Investigation into the case is on, police said.
