Vizag: England are expecting an update on the extent of Stuart Broad’s foot problem after scans on the injury. Broad was set to have the scans on his right foot yesterday evening after suffering discomfort bowling and fielding in the second Test against India.

He was also in pain with a deep graze to his right wrist, having first cut himself in last week’s series opener in Rajkot and then reopening the wound diving in the field in the second match. England were not anticipating the results of Broad’s scans until today morning at the earliest.
