The makers of the Marathi film 'Ek Albela', based on the life of late actor-director Bhagwan Dada, and starring Mangesh Desai and Vidya Balan, have unveiled the first promo of the biopic!
Marathi actor Mangesh Desai will be essaying the cinema legend. 'Ek Albela' marks the Marathi film debut of Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who essays the role of yesteryear Bollywood actress Geeta Bali in the film. Vidya's role has been credited as a special appearance.

Vidya's character was not required to speak in Marathi, but the versatile actress had a blast on the sets as she used to converse in Marathi with the cast and crew who were quite surprised with her command over the language.

The film traces the journey of Bhagwan Abaji Palav, who went from being a goon to a successful actor-filmmaker fondly known as Bhagwan Dada. It also explores the era between 1930 and 1951 and present life in Bombay before and after independence, and the early stages of the Indian film industry.
Jyoti Joshi will play Bhagwan Dada's wife while Swapnil Rajshekhar and Vidyadhar Joshi will be seen in key roles.
