After Rekha opted out of an already over-budget 'Fitoor', re-shooting with Tabu is adding to the makers' monetary woes

'Fitoor' makers facing budget issues?

Tabu

Seems like Abhishek Kapoor's troubles are far from abating. After multiple delays, budget issues and Rekha's exit — the veteran actress has been replaced with Tabu — re-shooting portions with Tabu is adding to the makers' woes. Especially the Kashmir schedule, where the permission to shoot was obtained with great difficulty and now the entire process has to be done again.

According to a source, "The film was already over budget and the permission to shoot in Kashmir was obtained with a lot of difficulty. Now re-shooting will not only add to budget issues, but also getting the similar effect in terms of weather will also be a huge challenge."

While director Abhishek Kapoor remained unavailable for comment, the production house, UTV's spokesperson chose to only speak about the Mumbai schedule. He says, "The Mumbai schedule is well on track. We are currently shooting at a studio and will be here for another 25 days, so there is no question of any permission."

Sources close to the makers say that Tabu, who has already started shooting, needs to re-shoot only two days worth of content which was earlier shot with Rekha. Whereas, our source claims that the sequences shot with Rekha exceeded two days. The first schedule of the film ended in January this year.
