In a most gruesome acid attack ever, unidentified men poured chemical into eyes, ears and nose of a Goregaon based real estate agent at Mira Road in suburban Mumbai, last night
After the horrific attack, the victim, Doodhnath Verma’s was abandoned into the jungles of SGNP from where he found his way to the nearby police station in Mira Road.
Role of a local builder against whom Verma had filed a case in the High court could be the prime suspect, cops said.
According to the Kashimira police in Mira Road, some of the motorists who spotted Verma in an injured state took him to the nearby Kashimira police station from where he was rushed to Bhagwati Hospital for treatment.
Verma had stated to the cops that some unidentified men met him at Goregaon railway station and demanded to show him a flat in Mira road vicinity. Verma accompanied them in their car and as they were on their way, the accused threatened him on a gunpoint.
Before Verma could scream for help, the accused allegedly poured chemical into his eyes ears and mouth in a span of every half an hour.
Though the police are yet to record Verma’s statement, his family members have already in the process of registering an FIR against and had approached the local police with their advocate.
