Former England football captain David Beckham has revealed how he tried to impress his then girlfriend Victoria Beckham when they traveled away together for their first holiday during their initial dating phase. The football ace said he deliberately wore skimpy, tight briefs to show off his well-toned body to the former Spice Girl.

"When I first started going out with Victoria and we went away for the first time, I remember I took a pair of small, tight, dark blue Gucci trunks with me," Beckham (39) said during the launch of his new collection of H&M swimwear in London recently.

"I was obviously trying to impress her. They were really small, but they worked," added Beckham, who first dated Victoria (now 40) back in 1997 after meeting her at a charity football match. Victoria then famously said that she didn't know who he was as she wasn't into football at all.
