The Aussie congratulated Sangakkara — albeit in a funny way. "I scored 4 100's in a row once...shame it was on the golf course! Congrats on 500+ WC record and runs, runs, runs #legend," he wrote on Twitter.
Sangakkara also became the first man to effect 500 ODI dismissals. He also passed Gilchrist's record of 52 World Cup dismissals. Sangakkara is now the most successful World Cup wicketkeeper with 54 dismissals.
