Sri Lanka new-ball bowlers Nuwan Kulasekara and Chanaka Welegedara vindicated their skipper Kumar Sangakkara's decision to put India in to bat in the final of the tri-series with early strikes.
Riding on Kulasekara's three scalps and two by his left-arm compatriot, Sri Lanka had reduced India to 63 for five in 12 overs. Suresh Raina (3 not out) was joined by all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja (1 not out).

Kulasekara struck in the very first over, dismissing Gautam Gambhir's woodwork (0). Nine balls later, Welegedara forced Virat Kohli (2) to edge one to Sangakkara.
Though Virender Sehwag started off his blitzkrieg with successive boundaries off Kulasekara, Welegedara got rid of Yuvraj Singh (0) in the fourth over.
Kulasekara then came back to get the prize scalps of skipper MS Dhoni (14) and Sehwag (42 off 27) in the ninth and 11th over, respectively, to leave India tottering at 60 for five.
