Steadfast SC defeated IDBI 9-1 in a Div-1 play-off match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League at the St Xavier’s Ground, Parel, on Friday.

Leading Steadfast’s charge was striker Alok Thakkar. The wily forward  netted four goals (including a hat-trick). Nehal Salunke added a brace, while Vats Patel, Robin Baptista and Lordsten Soares contributed with one goal each for the winners.
