Despite September 30 being considered as the withdrawal date for the monsoon in Mumbai, according to weather department sources, the city would experience intermittent rains for a few more days. Mumbai experienced moderate rainfall throughout the weekend.

According to a report by Times of India, sources at the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) attribute the downpour to upper air cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha. According to weather officials, the rains would recede in a few days.
