Considering his last release made history in Indian cinema, it's only natural that Prabhas's next Saaho is awaited with bated breath. Over the last few months, rumours have been rife that the actor plays a cop in the mega-budget drama that stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead. Now, mid-day has learnt that unlike his positive character in the Baahubali franchise, the star will be seen playing a grey character in Saaho.

A source from the unit reveals, "The script of Saaho is essentially a chor-police drama where all the characters are grey. It's true that Prabhas plays a cop in the film. However, the story is such that the audience will keep guessing till the end whether his character is an honest officer or a thief under the guise of a cop."

While Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff and Chunkey Panday are the antagonists in the film, Kapoor too has shed her good-girl image for the Sujeeth-directed movie. "Shraddha's character is a far cry from the bubbly roles she has essayed so far."

Given Prabhas's larger-than-life image post the success of Baahubali, the makers of Saaho felt it necessary to pull out all stops when shooting the trilingual — especially, as far as the action quotient was concerned. "Sujeeth roped in Hollywood action director Kenny Bates to ensure the film boasts of superlative action stunts."
