Rajasthan Royals cannot take Perth Scorchers lightly
Rajasthan Royals batsman Brad Hodge said his team, who are unbeaten in the Champions League T20 this season, will not take the Perth Scorchers lightly when the two teams meet at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium here today.
“We are in a good position, but are not complacent. We would be going full strength because we know a victory against Perth Scorchers would help us move closer to semi-final berth.
We would try and win the game and extend our 10- match winning streak by putting our best foot forward,” Hodge was quoted as saying by PTI on Saturday.
Perth are fifth in the table after one loss and a no-result. A defeat today will put the Australian side out of the reckoning.
“We know Perth Scorchers are a depleted side but that also takes away pressure from the youngsters who would play freely and can be dangerous. A good performance can make a difference. We have a tough task on our hands, but a win would help us,” said Hodge.
Otago Volts look to continue winning streak
In the first match of the day, Otago Volts, who are second in the table after one win and a no-result will look to continue their winning streak, including the three qualifying wins when they take on Highveld Lions. The Lions, who have two points from three matches, will look to play for survival.
