Rajeev Shukla firm on not retaining IPL chairman's post
Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Rajeev Shukla on Saturday was firm in his stand of not taking up the IPL post again.
Shukla resigned from the top post in the wake of the spot fixing scandal. But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have not accepted his resignation yet.
“It is for sure that I would not take the post of IPL chairman next year. I had resigned from the post and I don’t intend to take it again,” Shukla was quoted as saying by PTI.
“As far as my chairing of the Champions League T20 meeting in London is concerned, I feel my resignation is from the IPL and that too has not been accepted as yet,” he added. The Champions League T20 will be held from September 21 to October 6.
