Never misplace your key with a new wireless tracker that helps you keep a tab on your belongings as well as your phone

How many times does it happen that you were on route an appointment and realise that you left your wallet at home? Or, you are already late for work, and can’t find your car keys. Well, thanks to Yoky, a tech brand by Bengaluru-based Gida, you can avoid being in these situations.

Yoky has developed a cute little wireless tracker, Tag, that allows you to track eight different items from an app. The tracker connect with the Yoky app on your phone via Bluetooth, and can be tracked via a beep it makes when you try to locate it via the app. Each tracker comes with a range of 150 feet, and can be used to tag keychain, wallet, bag, pets, or anything you don’t want to be out of your sight.

The set up
First, you need to buy a Tag (or Tags depending on your need) available from for R999. Download the Yoky app (available on Google Play Store and Apple Play Store) on your smartphone (Android 4.3 and iOS 8 onwards), complete the sign-up process and then turn on the Bluetooth (Bluetooth 4.0 LE required). Once that’s done, shake the tracker three-four times. The app will automatically connect with it.

How it works
The tracker and app work for each other. So, if you lose the tracker, just press "Find Device" on the app, and the tracker will start beeping. Likewise, if you have the tracker on you, but can’t trace your phone, shake it three times and the phone starts beeping. There’s more. If you are disconnected from the tracker, the app automatically records its last known location. You can also be a part of the Yoky Community and take their help to locate your tracker by enabling crowd-sourced-location tracking.

Extra benefits
Yoky Tag is small in size (33mm x 33mm x 8mm), weighs just 100g, and can last up to 12 months on battery (3V CR3032). It comes with a three-axis accelerometer, which means it can double as a pedometer that can be used to track your daily walks (need to be activated on the app). The tracker is available in seven colours and the option to customise stickers on either side, to suit your liking — you can get your own photos printed on it as well. Besides, it gets a rugged body and is water resistant too, up to 10 metres.
