In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old teenager and her mother's paramour were arrested for blackmailing and circulating obscene pictures of her 15-year-old friend, who had informed the accused about her mother's illicit relationship.
According to the Nehru Nagar police, the incident took place three days ago, after the victim approached Draupadi Chavan, and revealed to her about that her mother was having an affair with 42-year-old Madanlal Kudiya.

"Draupadi was in for a rude shock after the victim informed her that she had seen her mother with Kudiya in a compromising position. Enraged and heartbroken by her friend's revelation, Draupadi confronted Kudiya. However, Kudiya cooked up a story to prove his innocence and instead, blamed the victim for tarnishing Draupadi's mother and his reputation by making false accusations against them," said an official from Nehru Nagar police station.
The revenge
Kudiya brainwashed Draupadi to such an extent that she readily agreed to seek revenge from her friend for badmouthing her mother. He asked Draupadi to click some obscene pictures of her friend, so that they could use it against her and prevent the victim from going public about the affair.
"Three days ago, Draupadi sneaked into the victim's house, who is her neighbour and using her cellphone, clicked the victim's pictures while she was taking bath. Draupadi then forwarded those pictures to Kudiya.
Going ahead with his devious plan, Kudiya threatened the victim to keep her mouth shut or else he would circulate her obscene pictures. However, he had already executed his threat before confronting the victim," said Kalim Shaikh, API of Nehru Nagar police station.
Arrest and release
On learning that Kudiya had already circulated her images in the locality, the victim lodged a complaint with the Nehru Nagar police. The cops picked up Kudiya on Saturday and during interrogation, he revealed Draupadi's involvement in the crime.
Both Kudiya and Draupadi were booked under Sections 292 (sale etc, of obscene books, etc), 293 (sale etc, of obscene objects to young person), 500 (defamation), 501 (printing or engraving matter known to be defamatory), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and were produced in the Bhoiwada Court. But the duo managed to secure bail against a surety of Rs 5,000 each.
