Sprint king Usain Bolt will donate $1 million (R6.39 crore) to assist the badly wounded children who were displaced due to a fire at Walker's Place of Safety (a children's home) in Kingston on Monday. According to the Jamaican Observer, Bolt was moved by the tragedy at the home, which saw two kids killed and 34 displaced.

Chairman of the Usain Bolt Foundation Winsome Wilkins said that preparations are now being made to hand over the donation early next week to the Child Development Agency (CDA).
