IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), Powai 'A' and Veer Engineering scored identical 2-0 wins against United FC and Toyo Engineering respectively in their third division matches of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2013-14, at the St. Xavier's Ground, Parel yesterday.
Parth Choudhary and Abhishek Yadav struck a goal each for IIT, while Pratik Ramesh and Sagar S got the goals for Veer Engineering.
Later, in a closely fought encounter of the same division, Malwani SC got the better of Ansa Travel by a solitary goal which was scored by Ritesh Sathe.
Elsewhere, Vishal Sarwade netted the lone goal as 7B Star overcame Nava Nagar FC 1-0.
