The Club World Cup showdown between Qatar's Al Sadd and Esperance of Tunisia yesterday in Japan was marred by a pitch invasion and outbreaks of violence in the stands.

The Club World Cup showdown between Qatar's Al Sadd and Esperance of Tunisia yesterday in Japan was marred by a pitch invasion and outbreaks of violence in the stands.

Police and stewards were forced to intervene after irate Esperance followers tried to get onto the pitch at the end of the game, which they lost 2-1.
