Former Indian batsman Rahul Dravid, who is nicknamed 'the wall' due to his invulnerable technique in batting, had different views on current Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Rahul Dravid recently spoke at the Bangalore Literature Festival and said that it is on sheer performance that matches are won. According to Times of India, Rahul Dravid said, 'Virat sometimes comes across as outrageous and I cringe on reading his statements before a series. But if he can bring the best out of himself by needling the opposition, so be it.'

Rahul Dravid admitted he could never sport tattoos the way Virat Kohli does. Dravid also has a tip for Indian cricketers, and that is to not to blindly follow in Virat Kohli's footsteps. Addressing Anil Kumble's sacking as India's head coach, Dravid said, 'It is unfortunate for a legend who was part of the highest number of winning Indian teams to see unceremonious departure. At the same time, it is quite common that coaches always get sacked. I also am the Under-19 Indian team coach. I may also be sacked.'

Rahul Dravid also went on to speak about the retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, He stated, 'People might have different opinions on when Dhoni should retire. But, if the selectors have selected him, he can play for India as long as he wants.'
