Cancer survivor Yuvraj Singh smashed an unbeaten century for North Zone to mark a brilliant comeback into the first-class arena on Day One of the Duleep Trophy semi-final against Central Zone here yesterday.

North Zone were 346 for four at stumps. Yuvraj scored an unbeaten 133 off 152 balls, hitting 20 fours and two towering sixes.

Meanwhile, in another semi-final, East Zone scored 187 for six against South Zone at close on Day One at the Dr YSR Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
