On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, a National Seminar was organized by Progressive Foundation of Human Rights (PFHR) at Country Club, Mumbai on the 10th of December.

Shri Suvir Mishra, the Mumbai GST commissioner was the chief guest while Tarun Rathi, the Uttar Pradesh Film Board's vice-president and minister of state was the guest of Honour at the National Seminar held in Mumbai with the theme 'Equality - Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human Rights'. The seminar also saw the presence of several Bollywood personalities.

Rakesh Pandey, who is also an actor by profession, has been the chairman of Progressive Foundation of Human Rights for the last several years and it is no wonder that this noble task has been dedicatedly pursued by him creating an atmosphere of awareness among the common people to make them aware about human rights.

Among other celebrities present were Padmashree Anoop Jalota, music composer Dilip Sen, Mukesh Pandey (Chairman of Human Rights Violation Control), Film producer Harish Patel and Pankaj Jayarath (Maharashtra Coordinator).

The Seminar also saw the felicitation of other celebrities who were honoured with the Amar Shaheed Mangal Pandey Award. Almost all the guests expressed their views on human rights, and expressed how important it is for human beings to know their rights.

The Progressive Foundation of Human Rights also periodically organizes programs on every occasion like Women's Day, International Environment Day, Health Day, International Human Rights Day etc.


 

“Justice cannot be done unless equality is not given to all by eliminating inequality, until then only the concept of human rights will remain,” observed Mukesh Pandey, chairman of Human Rights Violation Control.

Anoop Jalota extended many congratulations to Rakesh Pandey for organizing and meticulously managing such a program on the occasion of Human Rights Day. Chief Guest, Mumbai GST Commissioner Suveer Mishra cut the wedding anniversary cake and applauded Rakesh Pandey for his work. Renowned filmmakers Harish Patel and Rajesh Mittal and celebrities Mukesh Pandey. Jigna Sheth also extended warm congratulations and best wishes to Rakesh Pandey.
