Gold price today: Check rates for Mumbai, Delhi and other cities

Gold and silver prices recorded slight gains in early trade on Friday, with 24-carat gold rising by Rs 10 to Rs 1,30,760 per 10 grams. Silver prices also increased, with one kilogram of the metal trading Rs 100 higher at Rs 2,01,100.

Prices of 22-carat gold moved up by Rs 10 as well, with 10 grams priced at Rs 1,19,860.


City-wise gold prices



In Mumbai and Kolkata, 10 grams of 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,30,760, while Chennai recorded a higher rate at Rs 1,31,470. In Delhi, the price stood at Rs 1,30,910.

For 22-carat gold, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad all reported the same price of Rs 1,19,860 per 10 grams. Chennai continued to remain costlier at Rs 1,20,510, while Delhi quoted Rs 1,20,010.

City-wise silver prices

Silver was priced at Rs 2,01,100 per kilogram in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Chennai recorded a significantly higher price of Rs 2,09,100 per kilogram.

Global market trends

In international markets, US gold edged lower on Friday after touching a more than seven-week high in the previous session, as investors booked profits. Spot gold slipped 0.2 per cent to USD 4,277.64 per ounce as of 0029 GMT.

US gold futures for February delivery eased 0.1 per cent to USD 4,307.80 per ounce. Among other precious metals, platinum declined 0.2 per cent to USD 1,691.45, while palladium dropped 0.5 per cent to USD 1,476.50.

Meanwhile, Silver prices jumped Rs 2,400 to a fresh all-time high of Rs 1,94,400 per kilogram in the national capital on Thursday tracking firm global cues amid weakness in the rupee and a rate cut by the US Federal Reserve.

The white metal had rallied sharply on Wednesday, rising Rs 11,500 to scale the record level of Rs 1,92,000 per kg, according to All India Sarafa Association.

Since the beginning of the calendar year, silver has climbed Rs 1,04,700, or 116.72 per cent, from Rs 89,700 per kg on December 31, 2024.

In the local bullion market, gold of 99.9 per cent purity added Rs 90 to Rs 1,32,490 per 10 grams from the previous close of Rs 1,32,400 per 10 grams, as per the association.

Globally, spot gold fell USD 15.55, or 0.37 per cent, to USD 4,213.12 per ounce.

Spot silver gained for the third straight session, rising USD 1.06, or 1.71 per cent, to a record USD 62.88 per ounce. So far this year, the metal has added USD 33.91, or 117.06 per cent, from USD 28.97 per ounce on December 31, 2024.
