Amid the ongoing global economic uncertainty, highly volatile currency exchange rates, and steady investment demand, gold continues to hold its position as one of the most closely watched commodities in India.

With wedding season in full flow across the country, the demand for the yellow metal has also surged. Despite the fact that gold in the last few months has been priced relatively higher, people across the country are not hesitant in investing in the yellow metal, which holds significant importance in auspicious events. 


In India, gold prices vary across cities due to factors such as transportation costs, local taxes, making charges, and regional demand. Among the major cities across India, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata are a few of the many cities where the sale tends to be on the higher side. 



Therefore, as a buyer, keeping a check on gold prices in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata before making an investment can be a smart move. 

Gold prices in Mumbai

The ongoing wedding season across India has surely made the demand for the yellow metal quite significant. Despite the fact that gold remains one of the costliest metals for jewellery, people are mostly interested in buying it rather than any other metal. Talking about the prices, 10 grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai on Monday was recorded at Rs. 1,25,970. While 22 carats of gold was priced at Rs. 1,15,480 for 10 grams. 

Gold prices in Delhi 

While the prices in Mumbai did experience a slight hike as compared to Sunday, the national capital on Sunday recorded a slightly higher price for gold. The price for 10 grams of 24-carat gold in Delhi on Sunday was recorded at Rs 1,26,110. At the same time, the price of 22-carat gold was recorded at Rs. 1,15,620 for 10 grams. 

Silver prices

The silver price on Monday morning at the time of writing was recorded at Rs 1,53,213 per kilogram. Moreover, the MCX Silver December contracts also dipped 2.17 per cent, or Rs 3,349, to Rs 1,50,802 per kg. At the same time, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold was at Rs 1,22,149, down from Rs 1,22,881 on Thursday, according to IBJA.
