Dr. Cyres Mehta Becomes First Indian Eye Doctor to Win Italy's Highest Ophthalmology Award

Dr Cyres K. Mehta, Director of Dr Cyres K. Mehta’s International Eye Centre and a leading Indian ophthalmologist, was honoured with the prestigious Benedetto Strampelli Medal Lecture by the 150-year-old Società Oftalmologica Italiana (SOI).

Prof. Dr Mehta delivered the high-honour keynote at the SOI Congress in Rome. His lecture focused on managing complications in hard cataracts and complex surgical situations, solidifying his reputation as a global leader in refractive and cataract innovation. Dr Cyres Mehta is the only Indian doctor to be recognised with this most respected accolade in Italian ophthalmology.
