Ashish Sahasrabuddhe's Hindi film Swipe Swipe sells out in Sydney a month early—modern dating woes wrapped in cinematic brilliance.

Shows are houseful that too one month in advance, sounds unrealistic right? but Ashish Sahasrabuddhe, an independent filmmaker from Sydney is experiencing it at this time.
The Hindi film "SWIPE SWIPE” set to release in Cinema in September 2025, and as the tickets opened in July, the shows got booked within 6 days.
Ashish is spot on with his choice of topics and this time presenting his next Hindi feature film “SWIPE SWIPE” in Cinemas of Sydney and Canberra.
He is the writer and the Director of the film “Swipe Swipe”.
“Swipe Swipe” is about dating and relationships in the current day and age when everything is easily available on fingertips with a smartphone in hand.
Ashish says “Rather than showing a typical obvious story, I have captured the hardships of dating irrespective of the age, stage of life of a man or a woman. Yes it sounds so simple with so many dating apps and profiles but we made it interesting by capturing other side of the coin”
Ashish believes that the story telling via films is one great avenue to let people think of others and analyse aspects of life in an entertaining way.
Ashish has made Marathi Hindi and English films for the last few years.
He has won awards for his film projects in New Jersey, Mumbai.
Ashish states “My films are based on burning topics but presented with a wrapper of fiction for people to relate but enjoy too”.
People in Sydney has really appreciated that approach and loved his films in the past.
“Socially Suna Hai” Written & Directed by Ashish Sahasrabuddhe was his first time release in Cinema halls in Sydney, Australia with overwhelming response from the audience. Audience watched it more than once and brought groups the next time, making the cinema housefull.
Ashish has written and directed female dominant “The 50 Dollars” depicting opposite sides of women in business, a web series “Dear Men” focused on Men’s emotions, struggles and award winning Marathi film “The Filmmaker”.
Ashish states “I believe in a local talent, all they need is bit of a grooming”
His journey continues year after year with new projects each year along with the new talent, collaboration and association with various strategic partners.
He has already started working on next year's film concept.
