In Hindu tradition, the month of Shravan, also known as Sawan, is very important from a spiritual and cultural standpoint. For Hindus, the most sacred period to worship Lord Shiva is during the fifth lunar month of Shravan, which usually falls in the summer months of July and August. This month is all about rituals, meditation, fasting, and trying to cleanse yourself from the inside out.
