Teen Changemaker Proves Age Is No Barrier to Educational Impact

Through his free initiative “Math Mastery for All,” Grade X student Tanish Jain mentors 55 learners to achieve exceptional results at the American Maths Olympiad.

At an age when most students are solely focused on their own academic milestones, Tanish Jain, a Grade X student of Genesis Global School, Noida and founder of Math Mastery for All, has demonstrated how purpose, planning, and leadership can translate into measurable educational impact.

The results of the American Maths Olympiad have marked a major milestone for Tanish’s student-led initiative. Under his mentorship, 55 students trained through Math Mastery for All achieved an outstanding medal tally of 7 Golds, 16 Silvers, 6 Bronzes, and 2 Honourable Mentions. Beyond the medals, some students also secured Top 10 national rankings and placed within the Top 100 globally, an extraordinary achievement for a programme that is offered entirely free of cost.

What makes this achievement particularly significant is the groundwork behind it. Before launching Math Mastery for All, Tanish spent nearly five months in structured research and curriculum development, synthesising the mastery-based Kumon method-which he himself completed up to Grade 12 level at an early age of ten years-with the speed and intuition of Vedic Mathematics. He designed original worksheets, refined the curriculum through educator feedback, and created a digital platform to extend access beyond physical classrooms.

“What matters most to me is not the medals, but the confidence my students have gained in approaching unfamiliar problems,” said Tanish. “These results show what consistent practice and belief can achieve.”

Mr. Rupendra Dubey, Head – Olympiad India (Licensee for the American Maths Olympiad in  India), endorsed the initiative, stating, “Tanish has demonstrated leadership well beyond his years. His work represents the true spirit of the Olympiad-discipline, curiosity, and inclusive access to excellence.”

With a growing repository of learning resources now hosted at www.mathmasteryforall.in, Math Mastery for All is evolving into a scalable, student-driven model of educational empowerment-showing that age is not a limitation when vision is paired with purpose.
