Why India’s Celebrations No Longer Feel Complete Without IGP

IGP gifting

In India, celebrations are woven into everyday life. Some are grand and planned months in advance, while others are quiet, personal, and deeply emotional. From birthdays and anniversaries to a simple thank you or an unexpected gesture of love, every moment carries meaning. At its best, gifting is not about the product itself, but about showing up for those moments in the right way and at the right time.

Over the years, IGP has become a trusted part of how people celebrate these moments. In 2025 alone, the brand was part of over 2 million celebrations across India and internationally. Approximately  1.8 million of these moments were celebrated within India, while 5.5 to 7 lakh celebrations helped loved ones connect across borders, reinforcing IGP’s role in helping people stay emotionally close, no matter the distance.

Many of these celebrations began with cake. Birthdays, anniversaries, and family milestones continued to be anchored by cakes, with over 5 lakh cakes delivered during the year, amounting to more than 400 tonnes. For many, a celebration truly begins when the cake arrives. Recognising this emotional role, IGP went beyond delivery to celebrate the culture of cakes itself with the launch of the first-ever IGP Cake Fest in Mumbai. Designed as a community-driven celebration, the event brought together bakers, creators, and cake enthusiasts, spotlighting emerging talent through the Battle of the Bakers. The winner received a grand prize of ₹1 lakh and the opportunity to feature their creations on IGP, while live judging by celebrity chef Natasha Gandhi and enthusiastic audience participation turned cakes into shared moments of joy rather than just a dessert. Through Cake Fest, IGP elevated cakes from a product into a cultural experience and reinforced its leadership in celebration-led food experiences.

While some celebrations call for cake, others are best expressed through flowers. In 2025, IGP delivered over 3.1 lakh flower orders, marking moments of love, gratitude, and appreciation throughout the year. Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day emerged as the two biggest flower-led celebrations, when emotions were expressed not through words but through thoughtfully chosen blooms. From romantic gestures to heartfelt thank-yous, flowers remained one of the most instinctive ways people marked meaningful moments with IGP.

Not every celebration, however, comes with advance notice. A forgotten birthday, a last-minute plan, or an unexpected gathering often needs something thoughtful, fast. To ensure no moment goes uncelebrated, IGP enabled personalized gift delivery within 30 minutes across 30+ Indian cities, offering over 250 hyper-personalized products. Whether it was a surprise birthday gift or party return favours, this innovation helped people celebrate in the moment, without compromise.

Celebrations are also increasingly shared. Offices, friend groups, and families now celebrate together more often, especially during festive seasons. To make these moments easier and more joyful, IGP introduced Find My Santa, an in-house Secret Santa generator that simplified group gifting through automated pairings, wishlists, and reminders. By removing coordination stress, the tool allowed people to focus on what mattered most: the joy of giving.

Beyond large and familiar occasions, IGP also found meaning in moments that are often overlooked. Its collaboration with Tim Hortons India for International Men’s Day showed how appreciation, when expressed intentionally, can turn quieter occasions into moments of connection and celebration.

Some moments, however, call for reflection rather than festivity. Through its collaboration with Maddock Films for Ikkis, the biopic on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, PVC, IGP transformed gifting into a living tribute. The limited-edition self-watering pot and a hardy snake plant, created using soil respectfully collected from the hero’s memorial at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, allowed people to honour a legacy while contributing to social impact. It served as a reminder that remembrance, too, is a meaningful form of celebration.

Celebrations also crossed borders. On World Cake Day, IGP brought global flavours into Indian homes through its Global Cake Collection, featuring iconic cakes from eight countries. From Rasmalai to Chocolate Kunafa, the collection celebrated how joy, like cake, speaks a universal language.

Taken together, these moments tell a larger story. IGP is not present only during festivals or peak occasions. It is part of birthdays and breakups, reunions and farewells, surprises and tributes. It shows up when people celebrate loudly and when they feel quietly grateful.

As IGP looks ahead to 2026, the focus remains on making celebrations more personal, more thoughtful, and more effortless. By deepening personalization, strengthening technology, and continuing to honour culture and community, the brand aims to stay present for every moment that matters.

Because at IGP, gifting is not about marking dates on a calendar.
It is about celebrating life as it happens.
