Popular digital content creator Atheist Krishna from Hyderabad passed away on July 23 due to complications from pneumonia. He was known for his content that blended humour and heart. His death was confirmed by his brother through a WhatsApp message that has since gone viral. Krishna’s sudden demise has left fans in shock.

Who was Atheist Krishna?

Krishna, who used the name Atheist Krishna for his social media identity, was known for creating soulful, impactful content. He gained a following for his sharply timed satire, clever memes, and emotional Photoshop edits. One of his most cherished contributions was editing photos to include long-lost parents or grandparents—making it appear as though they were present in cherished family moments.

His page grew from strength to strength, resonating with netizens across the internet. Such was his popularity that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi and actor Akshay Kumar acknowledged his work.

In a video message to Krishna, Akshay Kumar praised the content creator and revealed that one of Krishna's edits even made the Prime Minister laugh.

“Hi Krishna, this is Akshay,” the actor had said in the message. “Some of my friends follow your content and showed me the incredible work you do with Photoshop to bring smiles to people’s faces. I recently showed one of your memes to our Prime Minister, and he had a hearty laugh. Keep spreading joy with your clean and honest humour.”

Krishna’s last days

Krishna had been unwell for some time and was reportedly preparing for surgery when he contracted pneumonia. His condition deteriorated quickly, and he passed away at 4:30 AM on Tuesday.

The news of his passing was first shared online by @nainaverse, a fellow internet user, and was later confirmed by Krishna’s family.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) with the handle @nainaverse shared screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation with Krishna’s brother, confirming the news, as reported by NDTV.

The screenshots also included Krishna’s last message to Naina, dated July 10, in which he sent her a photo from the hospital. In response, Naina had encouraged him by saying, “Sab theek ho jayega. Stay strong.”

Tributes pour in

Actress Rupali Ganguly expressed her grief on social media, writing that Krishna “wasn’t just a master of visual satire, he was emotion wrapped in sarcasm and humour.” She added, “His Photoshop jokes made us smile and laugh, but his silence today leaves a void.”
