The screenwriter Ronald Bass, who will co-write the show with Jessica Amento, will also executive-produce it with Happy Madison’s Doug Robinson, Mike Menchel and the film's producers Jerry Zucker and Janet Zucker.
According to sources, the upcoming ABC rom-com, which will pick up where the1997 film ended, revolves around the character Julianne Potter, played by Julia Roberts in the original movie.
