When CS entered the sets of Zee's Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo (AJMBHK), Ratan Rajput aka Laali had just come in. Dressed in a wrapped skirt and yellow top, she is a far cry from her onscreen avatar. Ratan narrates, "I went to my home town Patna, a few months ago and everyone identified me as Laali. The audience response has been fantastic." It will take two hours for Ratan to transform into Laali, and Ram dada, her make-up man is immediately on the task.
The script hasn't come in, so the atmosphere is somewhat thanda. The only person engaged on the sets is Sachal Tyagi (Ranvijay) the main villain of the show. The director, Rajesh Ram Singh is filming a sequence where Sachal's wife, Surbhi Tiwari (Nandini) is teaching her kids. At that moment, Sachal asks for food, which she refuses. "I have to now go and slap her," says Sachal with a wicked grin. The couple's (Ranvijay-Nandini) relationship in the show is getting from bad to worse.
Actor Abhishek Rawat, who is the main male lead (Shekhar Babu), is also waiting for his scenes. All of us gather in Sachal's room for a chat. So, how do these guys spend time when they are not shooting? "I am either on Facebook or on my Blackberry," says Sukriti Khandpal, who plays the role of Siddheshwari. "And these guys are constantly peeping into my cell," she adds as she texts a message. Ratan on the other hand spends a part of her free time chanting, as she is a believer of Buddhism.
Moving to Abhishek's room, we spot a bunch of newspapers. "Don't believe that he's interested in the serious stuff. He reads only the gossip columns," rile Sachal and Sukriti. But if there's one passion that all these actors have in common, it's eating. "These guys eat in my room and dirty it," moans Sukriti.
