As reported ('Shoes for Abhishek'; Mid Day, January 15), Salvatore Ferragamo is hosting Bachchan as part of the 'Shoes for a Star' project. He is the first male star from India to receive the honour.
PS: In March 2009, Salvatore Ferragamo had hosted Priyanka Chopra as part of the 'Shoes for a Star' project. She was the first Indian actress to receive the honour.
