After Aamir Khan's Ghajini, almost every B-Town actor is looking to buy the rights for a good south film. Ajay Devgn has snapped up the rights of Malayalam movie Puthiya Mukham for an astronomical amount. The action film, starring Kerala superstar Prithviraj was one of the biggest hits of last year and Devgn now intends to remake the film in Hindi to be directed by Rohit Shetty (Devgn's first choice for any film).
This film also marks Ajay's return to action films. Shetty, who is also directing a film for Ekta Kapoor, says, "I have been asked to direct seven Tamil films by south producers in the last one year! I have seen Puthiya Mukham three times. Ajay and I have been wanting to do a hardcore action film for the last three years. At last, we are doing it."
