She gets into a chatty mood about her childhood and her impressions of today's younger generation:

Little wonders
Children are just amazing beings. Their confidence at such an early age surprises me. Today's toddlers are so intelligent, they can handle most of the electronic gadgets with ease. They are smart, talented and are aware of their own likes and dislikes. But yes, too much exposure to technology and the world at such a vulnerable age takes away their innocence. Nevertheless, when I see these kids facing the camera, standing in front of experts with complete confidence in their talent, it amazes me. But I guess that it is the age of being carefree and fearless.

Daring mites
My mother tells me that as a kid, even I was carefree and confident. I could sing in front of anyone and everyone without even an ounce of fear. Even today, I sometimes forget myself and get naughty with them. I remember, while on the sets of one of the reality shows, the kids were running around and I started running along with them. After a while, I had to be reminded that I am an adult and need to behave like one. But with such tempting company around, it is hard to resist.

Kid-o-logy
Being around children is a treat. I feel rejuvenated. Their innocence is what touches me the most. Their little giggles, sweet fights, loud carefree laughs, talks, crying at drop of a hat are things that I adore. They are so easy to mould. They think from their hearts and will follow it without any guile. Whenever I do a kid's reality show, it is not only the good music I look forward to, but also the fun with these children. The bond gets so strong that they call me even after months of the show ending.

Best pals

I am a parent too and my daughter Sayesha and I are best buddies. We discuss everything under the roof and go for shopping, parties, long drives, etc. She's pursuing marketing and wants to start her own business. My parents were highly encouraging and supportive, but never pushy. I had the liberty to make choices. In the same way, though my daughter has a very good voice and an excellent taste in music, I've never forced her to take up singing. I only encourage to do what she loves best.
