Amitabh Bachchan had suffered a near-fatal accident while shooting an action scene for Manmohan Desai's 'Coolie ' in 1982, which took him several months to fully recover.

Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to share photos of him leaving Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after the accident.

On seeing Big B's tweet, Sachin Tendulkar shared that he was 10 years old when Amitabh Bachchan got injured and that he had prayed hard for his recovery.

To which Big B replied:

While shooting for a fight sequence in Manmohan Desai's "Coolie" in Bangalore in July 1982, Bachchan was critically injured and had to be admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. August 2, when he had shown signs of recovering from coma, is regarded as his second birthday by not only his fans and well-wishers but by the actor himself.
