The Film Federation Of India's (FFI) decision to ban Javed Akhtar for championing the cause of copyrights of creators and artistes has been condemned by several Bollywood associations. In a media release, they have stated that they all need to be banned then!

They include Alka Yagnik, president, Singers Association of India; Raviji, president, Music Composers Association of India; Dharmesh Tiwari, president, Federation of Western India Cine Employees; Jalees Sherwani, president, Film Writers' Association and Himanshu Bhatt, general secretary, Cine Singers' Association.
