Bappi Lahiri has become a grandfather. His daughter Rema delivered a baby boy at Lilavati Hospital on Monday.
The king of disco with his wife Chitrani, son Bappa and son-in-law Govind were present at the hospital.

Rema had a low-key wedding over a year ago to New Delhi-based businessman Govind Bansal and had been shuttling between Mumbai and the capital ever since.

Says Bappa, "We are all so excited. The baby arrived when everyone was celebrating as it was Eid Day. Moreover Durga Puja is also on. So for us, the festivities have really begun. The new arrival has added to our joys."

He adds, "Dad always had this rockstar image. The fact that he is a daadu now is sinking in. We have not yet thought of a name as yet."

Rema earlier had a short-lived marriage to US-based Shouvik Mondle, a Broadway opera singer.
