Priyanka Chopra now finds herself embroiled in the ongoing Sonu Nigam azaan controversy. An old video of PeeCee, where she is talking about the call of prayer, has gone viral on social media. The clip, which was shot during the Bhopal schedule of Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal (2016), has her saying, "When the film's shoot wrapped up for the day, I would always wait for the azaan in the evening.
I would prefer sitting on the terrace during sunset. It is soothing and relaxing to hear the azaan and, luckily, I get to hear it from six nearby mosques." She adds, "I really like those five minutes. It's a strange, peaceful time to hear azaan on the microphone. It's my favourite time of the day." We think Sonu would beg to differ.
