Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra in the wee hours of Tuesday after a freak bike mishap. The 'pk' director was operated upon yesterday morning as he had fractured his jaw and had a deep gash on the chin.

Hearing about the injury, the star of his blockbuster films 'pk' (2014) and '3 Idiots' (2009), Aamir Khan visited Hirani in hospital soon after the surgery. The filmmaker had been shooting for his upcoming production, 'Saala Khadoos', starring Madhavan. The mishap occurred on the Western Express Highway after the shoot wrapped up at midnight — what was supposed to be a joyride turned out to be nightmare for Hirani.

Shraddha Kapoor hurt her leg last week during dance rehearsals for her next

Last week, Shraddha Kapoor injured her leg during dance rehearsals for a song sequence in 'Baaghi'. The actress had to perform some complicated dance steps choreographed by Bosco-Caesar when she stumbled and sprained her ankle. The actress was spotted limping on the set and consequently, had to reschedule her shoot besides cancelling an endorsement commitment. Varun Dhawan had a big fall while performing a stunt during an awards function in January
Around that time, her co-star from the dance drama, Varun Dhawan tumbled and fell, hurting his foot during an awards event. The actor was performing a stunt on a vehicle when he missed a step and had a bad fall. He had also got injured while shooting a stunt sequence for the 'Jee Karda' song in 'Badlapur' — he had to break 24 bottles on his body and got hurt in the process. (Read more)

In June, Alia Bhatt injured her arm while shooting in Coonoor for an action sequence for Karan Johar's 'Kapoor and Sons'. The actress took to Twitter to share the picture of her injured arm with a caption, "There goes my celebration on #InternaitonalYogaDay #bummer." The actress was spotted with her arm in a cast for a few days. She then flew down to Hyderabad for a family vacation as she had time off from the shoot due to the injury.

Ranveer Singh underwent surgery in April following a shoulder injury during the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Bajirao Mastani'
Two months prior to that, Ranveer Singh underwent surgery after dislocating his shoulder during the Rajasthan schedule of 'Bajirao Mastani'. The actor sustained the injury when he fell off a horse. In March, superstar Shah Rukh Khan pulled a muscle while shooting for his upcoming film, 'Fan', in Croatia. The actor tweeted, "Serious Ouch time! Hamstring shaken fortunately not stirred. Injections galore,running like a duck. Not that I don’t like ducks but it sucks! (sic)."

Last month, while busy with his film 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Salman Khan was down with a severely sprained back. As he had overworked himself for the promotional schedule of the film, he suffered back pain. Concerned sister Arpita Khan had tweeted, "Salman Bhai is Fine, there’s nothing to be Alarmed about. Thank you for your love & concern as always (sic)."

Sibling setback
Anil Kapoor's son, Harshvardhan Kapoor, suffered injuries on the set of his debut film 'Mirziya' earlier this year. The youngster fell off a horse while shooting and it went unnoticed by the crew who were monitoring the scene. Though Harsh sportingly got up and continued to shoot, he later collapsed on the set due to dizziness. A CT scan revealed a head injury.
While shooting for a special Rajasthani song for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' in February, Sonam Kapoor slipped and fell, hurting her legs and bruising her ankles. Sonam was wearing a heavy Rajasthani lehenga and was decked with heavy silver jewellery which made her trip.
