12.30 pm:

u00a0Here we go again! Morning aarti with family

1.30 pm: My brother-in-law's sister Tina is down from Kanpur for the festival. Taking her out to buy accessories for her gadgets, obviously suggested by me!

3.30 pm: Totally forgot that friends were coming over for lunch! Got to rush back. Damn! I hope they haven't started eating already. Knowing my friends, there will be no food left for me.

4.15 pm: I feel like I've eaten an elephant! Now getting prepped for the Satyanarayan Katha. This has been a family ritual for time immemorial now.

7.30 pm: Cousins everywhere! It's only during festivals that you realise how big your family is. Today arti was super loud with all of us screaming the chorus.

8.30 pm: Festivals are not just about family, they are also about FOOD! By now, you must have realised how important food is to me. Helping mama with dinner.

9.15 pm: Ten days of being home and looking after Ganeshji and my family. Ten days of absolute gorging and prayers. Leaves you feeling fantastic.

11.15 pm: I think next year I can be the official Maharaj and cook food for all. I have practically been living in the kitchen. I have also learnt how to make khopra paak! And it wasn't just edible (thanks Bappa!) everybody enjoyed it as well. On this sweet note, good night and sweet dreams!
