Dino Morea says he could get Bobby Deol-Akshaye Khanna level craze

Bollywood actor Dino Morea, who is gearing up for his latest release, Four More Shots Season 4, has applauded actors Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna for creating a strong impact with their recent performances, and also noted how the digital era has amplified their reach. In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the actor also reminisced about his movies Raaz and Aksar and revealed how people still remember him due to those films. Dino Morea's reaction to actors becoming internet sensations When asked about Dino's reaction to Bobby Deol and Akshaye Khanna becoming internet sensations, the actor replied, “The way Bobby has got his chance to shine in Animal and Akshaye has got his chance to shine, especially in Dhurandhar more than Chaava, is incredible.” He added, “When I had Raaz as a success or Aksar as a success, there was really no social media, right? So, people saw the movies and still remember me from then.” Dino recalled how Raaz travelled “from villages to top-tier cities” and revealed how the feedback then came only from real viewers. Comparing it with today, he said, “Today, people don't see a film, but they are all over the internet. And that spread is faster and wider.” Reflecting on his own journey, from being one of India’s top models to delivering a breakout performance in Raaz, Dino said that fame functioned differently in the pre-social media era. He further added, “If I had to do something like Akshay or Bobby did today in a certain role, I think that would spread really fast through the internet. And I would probably have the same craze that they are having today. And I feel fantastic for the both of them because they are brilliant.” Dino concluded by saying that the attention both actors are receiving is well deserved and reflective of their talent.  The actor will soon be seen in the fourth season of the OTT series Four More Shots Please Season 4 alongside Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo, Bani J, Prateik Babbar, Neil Bhoopalam, Rajeev Siddhartha, and Lisa Ray. Dino Morea pens note for late father Dino Morea lost his father, Ronnie Morea, recently. On 17 December, Dino shared pictures of his father from his younger days, along with recent moments spent enjoying family time. This list goes on. One person for me who embodies all this - my mentor, my hero, my father, DAD!! Thank you for the life lessons Dad." Ronnie Morea was Italian, and Dino spent the first 11 years of his life in Italy before moving to India. Born on December 9, 1975, Dino grew up in a culturally diverse household with an Italian father and Indian mother. He later completed his schooling in Bengaluru.

Dhurandhar: Survivor of 26/11 terror attack reacts to Ranveer Singh's scene

The impact of the recently released film Dhurandhar has been profound, but for many. Among the many moments, actor Ranveer Singh's performance in the 26/11 sequence has emerged as the emotional core of the film, drawing an overwhelming response from audiences, critics, and even survivors of the tragedy. Among the most powerful reactions is that of a survivor who was inside the Taj Hotel on the night of the tragic attacks, whose words underline just how deeply Ranveer’s portrayal cuts. 26/11 terror attack survivor reviews Dhurandhar The survivor took to her X handle and wrote, "I was in the Taj Hotel on the night of 26/11 with my husband Ajay_Bagga. We were fortunate to survive the heinous terrorist attack that night and were rescued alive after 14 hours." She added, "The most bone-chilling scene in Dhurandhar for me was the red screen where the actual voice recordings of the 26/11 terrorists and their handlers were played. To hear what the handlers were instructing the terrorists to do, how brutal, inhuman and disgusting it was - just sent shivers through my body. To see the scene recreated from the other side- the handlers celebrating at every bomb going off & every person killed - if that doesn’t fill us with rage and renewed commitment to national security, what else will? 17 years have passed but the memory of what happened and what could have happened to us just shook me to the core . Gut wrenching and painful". She also tagged the makers of the film in her post. "Huge credit to Dhurandhar and its makers Aditya Dhar for ensuring that an entire new generation understands what truly happened on 26/11 in just those 2–3 minutes. That look of RanveerOfficial will haunt an entire generation." I was in the Taj Hotel on the night of 26/11 with my husband @Ajay_Bagga . Kumar Sanu

Kumar Sanu files defamation suit against ex-wife, seeks Rs 30 lakh in damages

Kumar Sanu has filed a defamation suit against his ex-wife Rita Bhattacharya at the Bombay High Court. The renowned singer filed the case seeking Rs 30 lakh in damages and the removal of interviews in which she allegedly spoke ill of him. Kumar Sanu and Rita’s divorce was legally confirmed in 2001. The defamation suit will be heard by the High Court on December 17. What did Rita Bhattacharya say about Kumar Sanu? In the petition filed by Sanu, he claimed that Ms Bhattacharya gave interviews to entertainment platforms like Viral Bhayani and Film Window, where she made defamatory statements about him. The petition stated that Bhattacharya accused the singer of starving her during pregnancy, locking the kitchen, denying her milk and medical care, and conducting court proceedings while she was expecting. In the interviews, she also claimed that Sanu had multiple affairs while he was married to her and neglected his family. In September 2025, the interviews were widely circulated on social media and became a talking point among netizens. In his petition, Sanu claimed that the remarks made by his ex-wife violated the consent terms recorded during their divorce proceedings before the Bandra Family Court on February 9, 2001. He stated that the clause ensured that neither party would make any allegations against the other in the future. The petition argues that Ms Bhattacharya’s statements caused reputational harm and mental distress. Kumar Sanu warns criminal charges against ex-wife A legal notice was sent to Ms Bhattacharya on September 27. It stated that if the interviews were not taken down, criminal prosecution would follow. It read, “Our Client emphasizes the grave nature of the defamatory statements made by you, and the serious legal consequences that may follow if immediate remedial action is not taken.” The notice also highlighted the allegations made by Bhattacharya. “You have alleged, inter alia, that Our Client failed to provide you food during pregnancy, that his family members are ‘ill-mannered’ and ‘uncultured,’ and have even questioned the adoption process that Our Client undertook.” “These derogatory remarks have created false impressions within social and professional circles among neighbours, and in potential business opportunities, resulting in substantial monetary and reputational loss,” the petition read. Apart from financial damages and takedown orders, the legal notice also warns of action under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita if the defendants fail to retract the statements.

Fans slam Neha Kakkar's new song Candy Shop: 'Failed attempt to Kpop'

Singer Neha Kakkar has once again been the subject of social media controversy following the release of her latest single Candy Shop. While the song was intended to be a pleasant, high-energy number, it has sparked criticism online. Many social media users have cruelly trolled the artist for what they call "vulgar" songs, "cringe" dance, and a failed attempt to emulate Korean pop aesthetics. Neha Kakkar gets slammed for her new song Shortly after the song's release, excerpts from the music video went viral, sparking a surge of unfavourable reactions. Several social media users criticised the dancing routines, calling them forced and indecent, while others lambasted the lyrics. A few viewers also accused Neha of trying too hard to replicate K-pop styling and themes without achieving the delicacy that marks the genre. A user commented: "When you start getting irrelevant, you resort to forced hooks, cringe lyrics, and shock-value performances." A different review stated: "The styling and vibe feel like a poor attempt at K-pop aesthetics -cute and bold on paper, but executed embarrassingly and vulgar." Similar reactions swamped the comment sections, with many doubting the song's creative direction. The lyrics for Candy Shop were written by Neha's brother, Tony Kakkar. He also produced the tune. Netizens call it vulgar, question the lyrics A lot of netizens called out the singer for promoting vulgarity onscreen and sending out the wrong message to the youth, a user wrote, "When your daughter has the potential to become another Sushma Swaraj ji, Nirmala Sitaraman ji, Avani Chaturvedi, Mithali Raj, Saina Nehwal, Hima Das, Usha Kiran and many more like them... Don't "Allow", "Motivate", "Encourage", "Demand", "Support" her to become like Neha Kakkar." Another one added, "Sony TV should be answerable as to why Neha Kakkar was imposed as a judge for Indian Idol for so many years!! You're showcasing young, innocent talents on your channel, and any reality show judge is supposed to be the role model for them! Neha Kakkar and her absolutely derogatory, cheap antiques are deplorable!"  This is not the first time Neha has received criticism for her musical selections. Despite being one of the most successful playback singers in the country, with several chartbusters to her name, the singer has frequently been the target of internet abuse, particularly for songs considered as overly commercial or monotonous. As of now, Neha Kakkar has not replied to the controversy over Candy Shop. Meanwhile, the song remains popular online, with supporters supporting her experimental approach and opponents doubling down on their disdain.

Shilpa Shetty denies allegations around her restaurant Bastian in Bengaluru

On Tuesday, reports emerged that Shilpa Shetty’s restaurant Bastian had landed in legal trouble after an FIR was filed against its Bengaluru outlet. Co-owned by the actress, Bastian has outlets in Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru. The Bengaluru police reportedly registered the FIR for alleged violations of operating rules. Soon after the reports surfaced, Shilpa took to her Instagram Stories to deny the allegations. It was also reported that the Income Tax Department conducted a raid at Bastian Pub near Church Street in Bengaluru. On Wednesday, in an Instagram post, Shilpa wrote, “We categorically deny the baseless and motivated allegations being circulated. The issues sought to be raised are being given a criminal colour without any lawful basis. A quashing petition has already been filed before the Hon’ble High Court and is pending adjudication (sic).” She further added, “Having fully cooperated with the investigation, we are sanguine that justice will prevail and have complete faith in the law enforcement authorities and the judicial system of our country. We respectfully urge the media to exercise restraint as the matter is sub judice (sic).” What was the FIR against Bastian about? Police have booked the managers and staff of the outlet, and the complaint was filed at the Cubbon Park Police Station, as the restaurant is located on St. Mark’s Road. Earlier in September, rumours suggested that Bastian’s Bandra outlet in Mumbai was shutting down. However, Shilpa clarified that the Bandra outlet would be transformed into a South Indian restaurant named Ammakai, while Bastian would shift to Juhu as Bastian Beach Club. She posted a clip on social media where she was heard saying on a call, "No, I am not shutting down Bastian, I promise." "I have received numerous calls, but everything said, I can definitely feel the love for Bastain, but don't turn this love into something toxic. I have literally come to say that Batian is going nowhere. We have always introduced new food, continuing with that passion, we are so excited to announce not one but two new places," she stated.
